Temporary voice capture — no new audio uploads

VoxCoach holds recordings only in temporary browser memory for local transcription and pace, pause and volume analysis. It stops microphone tracks when capture ends, discards recorder buffers, clears decoded samples and releases audio references after processing or cancellation. Recordings are not uploaded or saved in databases, storage services, IndexedDB or localStorage. Browser memory reclamation is managed by your browser; instantaneous erasure cannot be guaranteed.

Verified local-only recognition and compatibility

Before opening the microphone, VoxCoach requires an explicit local-processing control, sets and checks it, and checks that the selected language pack is already installed for on-device use. Ordinary browser speech recognition without these controls is not used. Missing packs, blocked permissions, unsupported browsers or recognition failures stop voice practice without cloud transcription or uploads. Text practice remains available. Language packs are not downloaded automatically. Desktop support is limited and mobile support may be unavailable; each device and selected language is checked when you start.

Private learning history — not local-only AI coaching

Signed-in users retain original and confirmed transcripts, corrections, coaching feedback, scores, acoustic measurements, XP, levels, achievements, streaks, progress, personal vocabulary and preferences. New learning records contain no audio. Existing AI coaching still processes text and measurements through Base44's AI services; local speech recognition does not mean coaching or saved history stays on your device.

Account access controls

Server access rules restrict private learning records to their authenticated owner or app administrators. Account preferences and vocabulary use the current user profile. Personal history views request only the current account's records. Browser account state and cached results are cleared on logout or account changes. These controls do not override Base44's platform-level processing or training policies; independent cross-account runtime verification remains outstanding.

Guest practice is not shared history

Guest practice results are not saved as learning records in VoxCoach's database and remain in the current page's memory. Guests cannot use the authenticated-owner access branch, including for records with missing owners. Guest preferences are not merged into an account. Text submitted for coaching still goes through the existing AI service, so guest mode is not a promise of platform-level zero retention for text.

Historical recording deletion — UNRESOLVED

Earlier uploads are stored separately from learning records. Removing a record or audio reference does not establish that its recording was deleted. Historical files have not been deleted in this update, and orphaned recordings may not be discoverable from app records. Historical audio links are not requested by personal history views or shown for playback. A supported deletion process or written confirmation from Base44's technical/privacy team is still required.

Platform AI-training concerns — UNRESOLVED

Base44's documentation states that workspace data on non-Enterprise plans may be used for AI model training and that there is no separate opt-out setting. Account isolation is not an exclusion from that policy. VoxCoach does not claim saved transcripts or other workspace data are excluded from training. Your legitimate learning history remains saved under Option A; no Enterprise upgrade or additional sensitive-data processing pathway has been introduced.

Limits of verification

The current implementation enforces local-only recognition and contains no application-controlled audio-upload fallback. This is an implementation statement, not proof of all browser or provider behavior. Historical audio removal, applicable platform training/retention guarantees, real-device voice behavior and cross-account security tests remain unresolved or unperformed. Overall status: PARTIALLY VERIFIED.
